Finishing The Quilting from From My Carolina Home

After finishing the borders on the Kayla quilt, I loaded it on the longarm for quick quilting. I am using a light sage green Glide thread on top, with a matching green Bottom Line in the bobbin.

The pantograph is one of my favorites for quick finishes called Fascination. It has long sweeping curves, and there are two rows on the paper, so I can quilt two full passes before having to advance the quilt on the frame.

I like how the darker thread disappears on the darker tones and floral prints, while adding interest and texture to the light ...

Sew Day Kayla Quilt from From My Carolina Home

It is always fun to get together with friends to sew. Our local guild Area A (small group) did a sew day last week to get started on twin size quilts for the Safelight Shelter. The coordinator of the charity sew challenged us to make a quilt with a Villa Rosa Pattern card. The card I got was called Kayla. This is the second Villa Rosa pattern I’ve done, and these patterns are fairly easy and quick. I showed the fabric pull in the previous post, but here it is again.
